Scarlett and I had a photo shoot today! Our friend Lesley Martin has worked for AQHA and they asked her to take pictures of us for the AQHA website! Yesterday and today Scarlett and I worked on going in and out of the trailer and we are doing great!! She is supposed to email me the pictures soon so I'll post them when I get them!

I am on vacation right now missing my darling! Our family friend patti turns her out during the day to eat grass and she sent me this picture of her and I miss her so much! My grandma sends me texts saying that Scarlett was giving her hugs as both my grandma and Patti can tell she misses my just like I mis her! I am counting down the days until I go home to see her! I am planning a small birthday party for Scarlett when I get home since she officially is 1 on Friday!! I bought her a red felt cowboy hat from dollar tree the other day and I'm going to cut out eat holes for her so she can wear it! I'm getting excited to go home and see her as soon as I can!

Yesterday was one of the scariest days of my life. Honestly I'm thankful for God allowing me to save Scarlett's life. I turned her out in one of her pastures after we played inside together for a while and I went to go feed the other horses. On my way back to the barn I heard a kind of weak Scarlett whinny, which was weird cause she wouldn't normally whinny for food cause she already had hay that day. When I started to look to see where she was in her pasture, I couldn't really see her, but it looked like she was lying down or something in one of the corners. As I looked harder, I could see that she was upside down with her legs up and I knew she shouldn't be like that. I started to run to help her, hoping she hasn't slipped and broken her leg or something. When I got up to her I said, "Scarlett!" And she whinnied back to let me know she was still okay, but needed help. One of her legs was kind of caught in the fence, but it seemed simple to get her out of it. I tried pushing her to get her to move and flip over but she wouldn't do it on her own. As all of this happened I started crying because I didn't know how long it takes for a horse to die when they are cast and stuck like she was and I was thinking about how I could never imagine life without her. She was still breathing and I wasn't sure if she would accidentally kick me or not but I decided to grab her legs opposite of me and flip her over myself. I did it and she paused for about two seconds then she got up ad trotted away and started bucking and playing just like she was before, reassuring me that she was okay. Like I said, scariest day of my life. If she had done that when I wasn't around, who knows what would have happened. I decided that I could put her in her other pasture instead because it had more grass and was less slippery for her for now while it'll be muddy in the next month or two. Other than that scare it had been a really fun day with her and we got to play and she chased me around the arena and she followed me around and was her normal happy self! I won't see her this week because it's spring break and my family is going to Arizona which makes me safe because I haven't not seen her for a whole week before! My grandma and family friend will be there all week and my cousin will be there to help as well! Ill have her send me pictures of her so I can stay happy without her!

Scarlett has been doing really well lately! She has been super duper sweet like always and is just a love to everyone that visits; I can't wait till she gets old enough to ride and I can take my little cousin to shows and share her with her! I think it would be adorable and she would really enjoy riding my sweet Scarlett! I have been working on getting her used to the clippers every once in a while, but when I tried to actually clip her the other day, it started out as more of a struggle than I wanted. If I brought the clippers near her nose or face she would back away and I wasn't getting anywhere until I decided to try it from another angle. I turned on the clippers and lightly sort of trimmed her hair on her neck and shoulder and slowly moved up her neck with the clippers and then I started on her cheek and she was totally fine! Now she actually like to be clipped as long as I basically start backwards! She was even super easy to clip her a bridle path which looks real nice!
I'm posting  some of the videos that I posted to YouTube a couple weeks ago (I put them on there so I could post them here) so you all can get a glimpse of how cute and silly she is! I posted these so I could delete them from my phone so I could have more memory for more videos one day when I was outside so I wasn't very creative when I was giving them titles! Enjoy! And Scarlett says Hi!
