Today Scarlett and I got to have some fun! I didn't have too much time to spend with her but I made the most of it! I went down and got her out and we went right into the wash rack and practiced our tying again for about 35 minutes. She tugged again for a while but not too long. Then after she was settled down I turned on the hose and sprayed it on the ground and around her feet to let her see it and feel it. She pulled again and tried to get out of it but lucky for her I did a darn good job tying the rope there the other day! I was a little worried about her pulling after I got the floor wet but I was quickly relieved to see the the floor was not at all slippery thanks to the rubber mats. Then she got to enjoy me brushing her down real well for 12 minutes or so, and she LOVES being brushed. She just stands there like a doll and soaks it in. I think that depending on how tomorrow pans out I just MIGHT give her her first bath! I'm also hoping to work on her lunging, but we will see how much we do! Don't want to overwhelm her! We will take things slow!

Today was a super day for training! Scarlett and I worked more on our tying! I've found that she is totally fine in the arena because there is a lot of space and she isn't cornered, but she doesn't like our wash rack because there are two walls and she thinks she is boxed in. I wasn't 'happy' to see her struggling and trying to get out of the tie in the wash rack but I was please to see her improvements; she will tug on it and try to get out for a while but she pretty quickly will settle down and be all right-especially if I come in and brush her. She really loves being played with. I braided her mane and tail and she does look adorable if I do say so myself!

Today I didn't get to see Scarlett until around 4:30, but when I got to my gramma's to see her I took her on a walk down the road with my sisters and she was wonderful! She felt pretty good because she hadn't been outside for a few days since I was gone but she walked next to me really well and liked trotting a bit to catch up to my sisters! I could tell she missed me and the attention I give her because she whinnied and whinnied and was very happy to see me when I got there! Then later at night I went back down and just sat in her stall with her because I was awake and I just chatted with her for a while! She was trying to figure out what I was doing in her stall on the

Scarlett was good today and she had a lot of visitors! She was really good for letting my small 6-year-old cousin come in and give her hugs and kisses and say hi. She is a sweet little thing! She always enjoys it when I lead her in the arena a turn her out in her nice grassy pasture with some hay! She also likes when I bring her in to her warm clean stall for bed!

Today was a good training day! I lead Scarlett around the arena for a while and then decided it seemed like a good day to tie her up for the first time! So I tied her to the post in the arena and walked away and waited for some tugging or resistance or something, but it never came! She kinda pulled on it once but gave up super quick. I didn't leave her tied up too long cause I needed to to turn her outside and she did so well. I'll probably tie her up for a longer amount of time on Monday.

Today Scarlett and I didn't do too much training besides leading in the arena but she got to go outside for a long time which she enjoyed! She's starting to get real sweet and easy to catch when she goes outside too which is nice! She whinnies every time you go outside, inside, walk into or out of the barn when she is in her stall and sometimes she just whinnies to talk to you! She's quite a bundle of joy to have around!
Today would have been my aunts 55th birthday and we got to remember her at dinner.

Today Scarlett got to go play outside for a long time! I got to play with her in the arena for a few minutes and we practiced leading and stopping. When I took her outside she was pretty happy and playful and followed me around the pasture. She always whinnies when I leave her and when I come back! It was pretty dark when I brought her in and she was very happy to come back to her nice warm, dry stall after playing all day! Since I've been leaving her out more often she's gotten sooo much easier to catch and she usually walks right up to me and wants to come inside.  When I brought her in Worthy was in the arena (which was dark) and he showed up at the gate and surprised us a bit! He always is happy to see other horses, especially Scarlett!

Today I got to play with Scarlett for about a half hour in the arena. She's doing pretty well with leading, and she picks up her feet pretty quick as well! She's a little bit of a challenge to catch when she is loose, so I wait for her to come to me instead of going after her, and she likes to try to sneak up on me, but she didn't take too long to get today! She's usually good about the blanket, but she doesn't like the hooks to dangle if they aren't hooked to the blanket and today she wasn't too sure she wanted to put it back on after I took it off, but we got it done. Whenever I take of her blanket, I notice some white hairs on her side, as well as some on the top of her tail, which makes me wonder if she has a little bit of the rabicano(however it's spelled) markings or if those are just strange hairs.. At this moment she is pretty happy because I turned her out in her little pasture so she can have some fresh air and grass, but she didn't want me to leave her alone; whit a little bit of debating with her whinnying and me replying, I finally convinced her she would be all right.
